I'm excited to share some updates about Maker Party 2015. Our annual campaign to teach the Web will run from July 15 through July 31, so mark your calendars!
Last year, we accomplished amazing things. We united people in more than 450 cities to make and learn together.
This year, we're inviting the community to run Maker Party events at all times of the year. And we’re inviting the community to celebrate with us during these two weeks. Soon we'll be sharing a series of activities to help you and your Maker Party participants celebrate hands-on making while also learning how to read, write and participate on the Web.
Here’s what you need to know to get started:
Start sharing! Help us spread the Maker Party love with a tweet: “Get ready to make cool stuff on the Web with @Mozilla's global #MakerParty this July. Learn more: http://mzl.la/1RKdHOm.”
Think ahead. This year’s Maker Party will mobilize participants to start something new: Mozilla Clubs. Clubs have the greatness of Maker Party events, but with regular engagement and deeper connected learning design principles. And they’re supported by a heavily-tested curriculum we developed alongside our community.
We can hardly wait to kick things off July 15. If you would like to get involved visit ournew site, tweet your making using the #MakerParty hashtag or email us atmakerparty@mozilla.org for any questions.
Let's get ready to party!
